wedding preps update...9 months to go

yep, just 9 months to go. can you believe it's already august? time sure does fly fast! before we know it, it's christmas once again. and then before i know it, it's april and we're getting married! hu-WOW!!! ok, status report...church - st. james the great parish, ayala alabang
DP done. this is the first thing we did. i keep reminding myself to call ms. minda to ask about the requirements, like the baptismal and confirmation certificate, but things have been reeeaaaally heavy at work. oh, and that reminds me. i think i'll give the mother butler a call already regarding the flowers for the church.
reception - the palms country club, filinvest
reservation fee paid. not really sure when i should start bugging our ae about the wedding details. hmmm. in the meantime, that can take a backseat. i'll start bugging her next month.

DP done. we'll probably have our prenups by next year yet, depending on whether schmuck pushes through with his us trip or not. till then, i can afford not to worry about this yet.
designer - merlene marcelo
DP done. at last, i can breathe a little easier. someone will now officially be making my dream gown, and that of my entire female ento. have been browsing through some of the mags and the pics that i have and have come up with a hodgepodge of ideas. i will let marlene turn that hodgepodge into the gown of my dreams.
wedding cake - alex franco
pencil-booked. this is something i have long been waiting for. at last, it is august! ok, so i have to call alex one of these days to schedule our meeting to discuss our cake. soooo excited!!!
bridal car - studebaker

comparing this to my 10-month update, the only thing i was able to add was the designer. in my opinion, i'm moving too slow! i know other brides will kill me since i still have 9 months to go, but as much as possible, i'd like to be done with all the details with 6 months to spare. that way, i can just concentrate on the legal stuff during the last few months of my preps.
ok, so it's august 1. must do's this month:
- call alex franco and schedule meeting to discuss wedding cake
- call mother butler of st. james to arrange for flowers in the church
- call ms. minda of st. james to clarify documentation needed
- canvass florist
- decide whether to send save the date e-vites
- finalize the primary sponsors
maybe i can also squeeze in the souvenirs? and maybe even the string ensemble? or the invitations too? (breathe in...breathe out...breathe in...breathe out...)
oh, and we need one more pair of ninongs/ninangs. any takers?
